Had a HUGE walk yesterday. Very hot, very sunny, I caught too much sun. The top of my arms look like the Polish flag. Thing one was at school, and thing two was going to Grandpa's for the day. We walked and scooted there, then I went to Morrisons, then round Folkestone and back along the sea front. I nearly walked through Folkestone town centre, but why put myself through that? Instead I walked round and down Tontine Street, and was pleased to see it looks like Nine Dragons is actually still open. That's the weekend's takeaway treat sorted then. From there I walked up and down the Harbour Arm, which was busy enough too seeing as there's nothing open on the arm itself. I got a coffee from one of the places in the car park. Queued for AGES for it.
The beach and seafront area were as busy as I've seen them, all the way from Folkestone to Seabrook and beyond. Lots of visitors from out of town I think. Shame there were limited opportunities for them to spend their DFL pounds in our local establishments.
Another very hot day today too, it's a lovely time to be off work.
Still no-one interested in the Nintendo Labo, will try Freecycle. The person collecting the bike came and seemed to be pleased with it, so we're back on a successful track there.
Smashed the quiz last night. Thing one stayed up for it and he's very tired and grumpy today.
So to coronavirus rules being relaxed. We're going from two metre distancing to "one metre plus" distancing, very clear, and no danger of anyone getting confused as to what this means. The pubs and restaurants are being allowed to open, there are no rules, only guidelines. So it's at everyone's own risk, if you get it it's because you didn't follow the guidelines. The government's plan is still herd immunity I think.
