Blog2020 ≫ About to go for a run, but

Weather back on track today high 18° low 11°, windy though 23 km/h Westerly... this is good news for my planned 10k, it should be like last week's where the wind will be at my back all the time I'm on the seafront, and when I'm running theoretically into the wind I'm off the sea front and sheltered. So, about to go out, and I realised my headphones were in my pocket all night so not charging. Giving them thirty mins and hopefully I'll have enough audio distraction to see me on my way. I'm going soon.

Have just dropped thing one off at his cousin's house, they're going to play outside so that's ok. They're off to the skatepark. It's his birthday tomorrow, which would probably be weird in lockdown, but also he's back at school tomorrow too, which will be weird too. Weird just to be back, after two months off, and weird when he's there because of the complicated new set up.

I did some pointless faffing in my beerman game and something I've done has stopped it building, so have to roll some of that back to see what is going on. It means I can't publish this site while it is broken so maybe this message will not appear.

I see what looks like a bug in my last scraping of the coronavirus death charts so need to take a look at that too. I have lots of little coding tasks lined up and don't quite have time for them somehow. I want to fix my home automation so as to add in sunrise and sunset events, and I want to get my audioscrobbling running again from all devices. If I mention it enough times maybe I'll shame myself into actually doing it when I read back on this. Like I thought I was going to do by mentioning "tidy the study" in the sidebar over there.

I also had a plan to come back and add some atmospheric detail to something I'd written recently. The main point of this blog is to help me remember things in the future, and so if I just put "I went out and then I came back" it's not enough. I had a load of detail in my mind, for something that I've completely forgotten now. Was it thoughts and feelings and hopes and dreams? Nah it's gone now.

Ooh just remembered I have leftover takeaway curry as a reward for when I'm back from my run. It was not a raging success actually, mine was nice enough but the boys didn't really eat much of theirs. They loved the chicken, but didn't eat much of anything else. Luckily I could take over on all the vege options so I ate well. Some of the vege dishes did seem a little watery, it feels like it is the result of frozen veg, though I don't know for sure. This is why I stopped ordering the cauliflower dish from them. Maybe we'll try somewhere else next time.

10k: Ten km, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step count target.
