Blog2020 ≫ One more thing, I quite like this bike

This bike1, a stealth electric bike. I saw them in London and thought it's more for posers than for practicality. But a) maybe not and b) maybe that better suits me anyway. It weighs the same as my bike now but has integrated motor, lights, alarm, tracking, all sorts. Looks quite good. It's not everything I want or need in a bike but I don't suppose I will find that. I want about four different kinds of bikes and am unlikely to get it all in one. I'm unlikely to get this bike, but you never know. Will wait and see if the Premium Bonds come up again. I won £50 this month...

I also did a bit more coding on this game - it's possibly broken right now, not sure. It's good locally but the version live on this site that you can see makes the little man fling high into the sky as soon as you press a button. Hopefully just publishing this post will be enough to fix this. My change makes the code smaller and faster by having just one animation callback. It's also a step towards animating all of the parts of the game more smoothly, then I can add more details in. Those poos need little flies buzzing round them and those birds need to look more like birds and not just blobs. Also I'm adding in a "duck" action (as in crouch down, not as in quack quack) which can hopefully still work and give more options for play, while still working as a single button / one finger game. Tap to jump or hold down to crouch, I think I can do it.
