Blog ā‰« 2020 ā‰« I figured out how to stop the coronavirus spreading

Just get me to make a website for it! I really expected http://popex.clarkeology.com/ to have gone viral by now, but it has not exactly set the internet alight. Maybe it's too complicated, or maybe no-one else likes these 90s-retro no design websites as much as I do.

The one I did for popbitch has also failed to catch people's imagination. That one has been sent out to the mailing list, and has had some people sign up for it. It's not being used much though as we're asking for a Ā£5 contribution. Not my decision, I think it should just be free. That might be why it is less popular, or it could be that it's just not what people want these days.

Clare has gone to work today, swapping it for Monday. There's a bank holiday next week, as if that makes a difference at the moment. The boys have used up their first hour of screen time today, so they have to occupy themselves until lunch and they have no idea how to do this. After lunch we're going to ride to the park in Hythe near the library and take the football. Thing one has really been missing playing this with his friends. Thing two and I are less keen, I hope we can make a game for him.

I've been trying to get a secure certificate on popex, for free, using https://letsencrypt.org/ and it's too hard. This would mean I'd get the little green padlock and then also get some "install this like it's an app" working too. I think I can get a free one from Amazon, so trying that too. Also trying to bring one of my raspberry pis back to life. I have loads of dead ones around the house, I want one that "scrobbles" my music listening to my lastfm profile1 so I can have more accurate music charts. Right now only my phone is logging there and not the Google Home etc. I had it working before, then forgot which one was doing it. It's WEIRD that I have computers in my house somewhere and I don't know where they are.

I have to go now I have used up my time allowance too.
