I sort of have the popex dividend payout working, I finished it yesterday. This is the part of the game where the shares you hold earn a dividend once a week, based on the real world performance of those artists. Is this the final missing piece before I put the first draft of this live? Or can I find some other excuse to procrastinate and not let people test this yet?
We did the Seagull pub quiz last night, or at least a tribute to the Seagull pub quiz. Similar to last week's one that Kez ran, this was run by another friend who is missing that regular quiz. We came second out of about twelve people, though we did have a secret weapon; we let thing one stay up for it. He seriously got quite a lot of our points.
Our team name was "Alexa, buy toilet rolls" and it worked really well, triggering Alexa in lots of people's houses. We don't have Alexa...
I have let the kids watch Steve Backshall today after Joe Wicks, and they're going to write a non-chronological report on the facts that they learned from his weekly Q&A.
Russia is reporting more cases, so more testing? They're still doing the UK trick I think of not having tested a lot of people who died. The number of deaths as a result of this thing is a lot higher than the numbers reported here, but we won't get final totals until next year.
