Did I mention how impressed I was with Morrisons beer choices? So impressed that for my exercise today I decided to walk back there and pick up a couple more. Maybe just two cans as I was on foot, it's a long way, and we have some beer waiting for us at Jim's. So I set out today, shopped, bought a little more than I'd planned but still manageable, but had forgotten my wallet. I transferred everything after I got caught in the rain and had nothing in these pockets. I left the shop, then remembered there was a spare payment card in my little brown backpack I had with me. But no good, it's not contactless and I must have got the pin wrong, anyway it was rejected. So the same walk back. Luckily it was a lovely day for a walk, high of 14° and a low of 7°.
I got back just in time to tag Clare and the boys, they were going out for their exercise to the woods, and now I could be in to receive the Sainsbury's shop. That's all done and packed away, so now I can go back to Morrisons, with my wallet, and pick up the bag of treats.
I finally finished Hunger Games book three. Worst of the three, and not a lot of joy in it at all, I wouldn't bother if I was you.
Author | Book | Thoughts |
---|---|---|
Ian Rankin | Westwind 1 | Dated thriller, shame. |
Ian Rankin | Doors Open 1 | Really good crime caper in Edinburgh but with no Rebus. |
Suzanne Collins | The Hunger Games 1 | Borrowed from the children, very good. |
Suzanne Collins | Catching Fire 1 | Hunger Games part 2, read this even quicker, a bit darker. |
Suzanne Collins | Mockingjay 1 | Hunger Games part 3, not much joy in this one. |
We're getting pizza from Luben for tea tonight, I'm going to collect it. A little pay day treat.
