Blog2020 ≫ Waiting for my weekly social event

I'm sat in the study waiting for our weekly Zoom call to start. I have a beer fridge full of Brewdog rarities, oddities, collaborations and other new beers, so can start working through those.

Still on furlough of course. We did Joe Wicks workout this morning, and then Clare went for a run. I went for a little jog this afternoon during the boys exercise. I made them ride to Hythe and back, so I ran there, but walked back. It was a bit spontaneous, so I had the wrong shorts on and all my gear with me. Such a gorgeous day, it made it quite hot too. So not counting it as a proper run, but I have hit my step count again today.

We watched a little of the "big night in" Children In Need / Comic Relief thing. Not very good from what I saw but I will watch more and will give some money.

I've done a load more on the new / old popbitch thing, looking forward to the link being shared with some people, and then it going viral. I really need a "soft launch" of this though in case it doesn't work. All the billing is on my account at the moment, so if it goes crazy it will cost me money. It has made me realise I could easily rebuild something like Popex or Celebdaq and have it up and running in a day.

I must have more to report on, though it's been quite a lazy day. I saw a rat on our street the other day, dead. The rat was dead and so is the street. Also nearly saw a crazy accident the other day, guy walking with his dog towards Sandgate, the dog on too long a lead, guy on the far left of the pavement and dog sniffing something unsavoury to the right. A cyclist is suddenly heading straight towards them, fast, and the dog lead has made a low clothesline across the pavement. Dog walker just dropped the lead in time or there would have been cyclist and dog everywhere.

There are still too many people walking and cycling everywhere, a suspicious number I think. They're not in their local vicinity like what we are.
