Blog2020 ≫ Finished Hunger Games

Finished the book I borrowed from thing one, and it was very good. Quite keen to see the film of this now, and have started book two. Seems a good time to properly start including my furlough reading in here. I'd not have read this much normally in the same period of time. How long have I been off work now? Nearly two weeks, and not really achieved anything else.

author book thoughts
Ian Rankin Westwind1 Dated thriller, shame.
Ian Rankin Doors Open1 Really good crime caper in Edinburgh but with no Rebus.
Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games1 Borrowed from the children, but very good!

I have cooked quite a lot, got three dishes on the go today; our normal Monday arrabiata sauce, though a larger and less spicy version that all four of us can share, then my new sausage and butterbean casserole, and then a little vegetable curry. Just a single portion of the curry as there was some coconut milk left over from the beef stew Clare and the boys made.

I will go back to my bathroom woodwork painting in a bit. I will achieve something, I will.

Did we really just overtake China for total number of coronavirus cases..?
