Clare had a big night out planned for yesterday with her brother "before they shut all the pubs". The timing didn't quite work out for them so they went for a boozy night round their dad's instead. I stayed in and followed my new regime of not drinking to try and recoup the 50% wage cut. Even though there actually was booze in the house. I'm very brave. I watched Daredevil and The Last Leg and meant to read my new Ian Rankin book1 that I had splashed out on before the belt tightening. The book is not brilliant so far, it is not a Rebus, it is an old book of his that was not widely distributed. Instead I mostly refreshed the news on my phone.
Sainsbury's delivery came today, but with substitutes... we'd already hit their "bulk ordering" limit, they rejected our order because we bought four bananas. We could have bought three bags of bananas no problem, but buying them individually without the plastic wrapping you're still only allowed three individual bananas. Just an oversight in their algorithms no doubt. The replacements themselves though:

The wine and beer must all be being hogged by the key workers and pensioners (not that I am drinking it, see above). No don't ask me why there is so much meat on my shopping order. No wine at all then, and three bottles of beer instead of the eight cans ordered. No vegan burgers to be had, and really no squash??? The normal vegan sausages were not even available to order so we've got alternative onews flavoured with paprika and rosemary (one pack of each). The washing up liquid good, we just get more for the same price.
Clare has taken the boys for a walk in the woods, she starts to go stir crazy within twenty minutes of being in the house. I'm at home resting my eye...
