Blog2020 ≫ Cinema day

Clare is working all weekend, so we're off to the cinema on the bus. There's a new animated film called Onward1 that the boys like the look of. Maybe pizza for lunch before that in Luben?

164 coronavirus cases in the UK today and now two deaths.

I went to the Inn Doors last night, for a change, and it was great. Several friends in, so some good chat, the problem was getting away as another friend came in just as I was leaving.

The flooding in Sandgate was gone, but a lot of silt left on the road. Stone Street near work is closed as it is under water, and parts of London Road has collapsed because of the water damage. That's the road I drive up to get to work, Stone Street is the one that goes on from work towards Canterbury. Could explain why the office was so quiet yesterday as a lot of people would normally drive in that way.

The flooding does seem to be getting worse and more frequent. Living on a hill, I like to think we're ok for a bit longer, but the problem will be the other displaced people whose houses are now under water going feral. I'm building barricades and getting tooled up. Clare will be pleased when she gets back.

Actually it is really getting serious here, we can't get our normal shopping delivery on Sunday, all the slots are gone. Booked up by the toilet paper hoarders no doubt.
