Blog2020 ≫ Coronavirus cases day by day

Is it worth trying to keep track of this? On the BBC earlier it said UK cases had reached 87, right now it says 90. It was only 36 on the first of March. It feels like the beginning of a zombie disaster movie, though obviously compared to the number of flu cases it's probably not significant.

It has affected the rugby now, even the England game in Rome has been cancelled, where the other games in other parts of Italy already had been.

It has not affected my trip to London this weekend to see Faster Pussycat, though it is now cancelled. It's cancelled because of not enough coronavirus. We could go because Andy's work trip to somewhere or other was cancelled because of scares, but now he's been sent on another one into a hotbed of contamination in the USA. He has the tickets on his phone, they can't be transferred to stop touting. I've not spoken to anyone else who likes Faster Pussycat in twenty years probably, so I'm now not going. I have Sunday afternoon and evening free and am probably about £100 better off! I might buy some more lightbulbs!

On top of coronavirus messing up work for us (people are cancelling trips) now Flybe has gone bust. Poor people working for them and with cancelled trips.

It has rained constantly here today, I was going to go out at lunch but with the rain and work I have not done.

I much prefer the name coronavirus to covid-19.
