Blog2020 ≫ Febrewery day eighteen

I did Febrewery pub 21 last night, bonus night out. Sean phoned and suggested going to The Clarendon, as he was nearly home, wife was away, and he had the day off tomorrow. A very rare combo, we would never normally go out in the week. He didn't even know it was a pub that I'd not ticked off yet this month. Got absolutely drenched on the way there, and we were the only people there for a bit, but it was good. Had a couple of pints of Old Dairy Red Top and then home again.

Finished Agatha Christie's The Pale Horse. Thought it was very good but I did remember earlier versions of this and read the book, which it had fidddled with. The final scene was unnecessary and changes the direction of the plot completely.
