Blog2020 ≫ Cataracts op is done

My left eye is now operated on! Had the op this morning, a little hanging around really but then about 3 minutes of actual op. VERY strange feeling the eye being worked on, didn't like that much. Also you can mostly see out of the eye as they do it. I have to keep this plastic thing over my eye at night for a week, can't do any lifting or anything for two. Going to take a week off work with it. Then in four weeks I have another appointment and can decide about getting the other eye done.

Pleased to be told "you're very young for this procedure aren't you?" and then to be officially told I was the youngest person that day by someone else. I'm never the youngest anywhere these days. Maybe in The Inn Doors occasionally if you only count the customer side of the bar... Another thing to be pleased with was "your heart BPM is very low, are you very active?" why yes I am, I'm super fit, I have the fitness of a twenty year old according to my Garmin.

Job done now, waiting to see how my vision improves. Not noticed anything yet really but I do have this plastic thing and tape over my eye still...

I've done a little work on the images on this site too now, see how this image keeps the correct aspect when I convert the low quality version, instead of squishing it into a square, instead of squishing it into a square, instead of squishing it into a square, instead of squishing it into a square.
