Blog2019 ≫ Busy week

Too busy for lunch on Monday, too busy for much of a break yesterday, and no time for a lunch today either. It is all go!

Normal working from home on Monday, and an PTA meeting for last minute discussions of the christmas fair this Friday.

Yesterday had to take the boys back to school for the first of their christmas plays. We dropped them off and went to the Fountain to sit and make christmas plans, before picking them up again. That should be a good pub and it is just not, disappointing beer. We tried the Doom Bar and the London Pride and both were not nice.

Today the boys have had their christmas lunch at school (with christmas jumpers) and we're actually going to the christmas play. It's beginning to look a lot like christmas. We are not on top of the christmas shopping really though I do have a few things in my basket I need to check out.

My savings for christmas (including the "save the chnage") have done me well, I didn't notice it going out of my account but there is a healthy pot there for spending.

Also in other catching up from the past few days, I have the fitbit back on my wrist, as I got some replacement straps.

On politics for a minute Ro says "Labour said it would raise income tax for people earning £80,000 or more, with a new "super-rich rate" for people earning £125,000 or more", sounds fine to me! Stuff needs paying for. Earning more than £80k does not make you super-rich but as you'd only pay the 45% or whatever on the amount over £80k you're not going to be poor either...

Even though that story didn't worry me I'm dubious of any stories I am forwarded at the moment, as "stuff being copied and pasted in private channels" is the new facebook fake ads it seems. I read a BBC story yesterday, but about this story and how stories were going round "a friend of mine is a senior staff nurse at that hospital and says it was all staged". BBC traced the story back and back, to a lady who had copied it from an old schoolfriend on facebook. She then found out the facebook friend was not the old schoolfriend but someone pretending. The original story was then deleted but the fakery keeps going round. BBC found more than one of these source stories suggesting an orchestrated campaign. Pretty nasty stuff.

Remember to vote tomorrow. No, not you, you stay home.
