Blog2019 ≫ Successful NCT party

Party yesterday went really well. At first we were worried, we got to the venue and NO-ONE WAS THERE! Where is everyone the party should be in full swing? Had we got the venue wrong? No, turns out we were just on time for the first time. We're normally late so everyone else has set up, this time we were two minutes early, so we got some drinks in and luxuriated in the space.

The kids had a great time, eating and playing and doing crafts. This was the 10th of these annual NCT parties we've done, well done us, and aren't the kids big now?

Nice to see our optician friends there, but odd to have one say something "none of these operations have gone wrong at this place". I had not even considered the idea of this cataract operation going wrong. How could it go wrong??? So now I'm thinking about that. Also she said my reading would be affected by the new lens, but I think that just means changing my curent prescription. I hope.

After the party I wound down with a few pints at the Inn Doors. It was nicely busy, and though it closed at seven we carried on drinking there until eight. And then home for a late dinner.
