Blog2019 ≫ Brickfields was very nice

Surprised by how good my food was in Brickfields. I had the "fake and ale pie" and it was quite big and tasty, basically mushrooms in gravy inside it, served with new potatoes and green beans. Clare had lasagne and Brewdog and the boys had burgers. It's very cheap there, especially with a 30% off voucher than Jen had. I think Jim had a nice birthday dinner.

Took the beetle to the garage today for an MOT so waiting to hear, it's being done about now. The garage is pretty close so assuming it is safe to drive again today I'm going to run back there to pick it up. It's almost exactly 5k, and while it is cold out there it's not windy or raining or snowing or anything.

Got a few more christmas bits in my online shopping basket, but still not got my present for me nor main present for either of the boys. Will try and sort it over the weekend, I don't think any of my options are getting any cheaper, though they obviously will after christmas...

Kev was meant to be arriving today fron the USA but missed his flight! All events are still going on, just without him. Not that I was going to any of them but Clare still going to Dom's gig in Ramsgate1 and then to the Ship on Saturday night. I get to go to the Inn Doors tonight after swimming and then Sunday afternoon, after the NCT christmas party.

5k: Five km, about three miles in old money.
