Blog2019 ≫ No parkrun today

Clare working this weekend, so I could not run this morning. Instead we got the bus to Folkestone for a barbecue at Jeff and Emma's for their eldedst's birthday. Jeff did an amazing job of all the food, a very good spread, lots of things hand made, including the birthday cake. I had vege burgers and sausages with guacamole and the boys ate too many sausages. I didn't intend to eat a lot as we had half planned to go to Chameleon for the first time today. However, as we pigged out and Clare is back from work late we have postponed it until tomorrow.

Very nice touch on leaving the party some very impressive party bags with lego in. Best of all there was even a party bag for me, with some hot sauce and a beer in it!

Went to the Inn Doors for the usual shift yesterday but it was very quiet indeed. The usual suspects all away on holidays, though it did fill up by the time I left. I did find out the Inn Doors are doing a mini beer festival on the bank holiday weekend, but I will miss it as Clare is working at Big Feastival then.

I didn't spot until the way home that our bus ticket was a rover and not just a return, so we should have gone somewhere else. We walked into Folkestone but only picked up a few bits for tea in the supermarket, didn't get anything else.

A quiet day tomorrow really, might try for the boot fair on Hythe Green in the morning, on the bikes.
