Blog2019 ≫ First proper day of the Summer holiday

I'm working in the "basement" today, as I'm working from home and the boys will be home. Clare has to go into work for two hours as they're interviewing someone new, but they'll all be back by lunchtime. Haven't worked in the study for a while really, normally I prefer the dining room but it might get noisy this afternoon. Had to do a bit of clearing out as this room is full of bikes and scooters. I will clear this out properly one day...

Got some days off around this (ahem, birthday) weekend but thinking I may only take the one. Then trying to work out some days off at the end of August and fit them around Clare's trip to the big feastival1 where she will be working with Emma. So the boys and I are free the bank holiday weekend.

Food fair was good, I got more chilli sauces and a scotch bonnet cider. It was odd, a lot like my home brew, not the best. Did have the taste of chillis, but was not actually hot.

Looking into that Feastival (it's Alex James out of Blur's place) and it looks very nice, a proper middle class event but a) expensive and b) complicated, lots of upgrades on the tickets.
