Blog2019 ≫ Bike: mission accomplished

Went to West Hythe for a bit more bike practice today for thing two. As we were all going this week we can't fit all of us and both bikes in the car so I cycled and met them there. It's about five miles but it's as quick to get there by bike as by car. We set out along the track there, first me holding the back of his jacket again, then I just let go and he hadn't noticed. He was riding for thirty seconds before I told him and he was surprised. From then on he just rode off on his own, so he is one important life step further on now. We're very pleased and he's very proud.

He wants to do canoeing now, after something he has seen on Blue Peter. I told him as soon as he can swim properly then we can look at that.

The boys did lots of good riding, Clare and I walked alongside. Thing one found one of the World War II pillboxes which ticks a homework box. After we all went to Unit Number One again, though they were out of pick and mix this time.

I realise I didn't do all my jobs for the weekend, but we fitted quite a bit in.
