Blog2019 ≫ Secondary school open day

We went to the local grammar school last night, the Harvey Grammar, and thing one liked it. So now to work hard and pass the Kent Test. He particularly liked the science lab where they were doing experiments, and all the equipment in the gym. We didn't see too much of the canteen but the maths and other departments looked well run. I especially liked the design and technology department, they have some good kit. The opportunities to travel there, particularly if you are good at sport, are crazy. The school cricket team did a tour of Barbados. Of course we the parents will have to find the cash for this. There are other exotic trips if you're not sporty too.

It was less Hogwarts than I had hoped, for a selective single sex grammar school, but it looks good.

Bit of a late night for them, I had chuck in the oven pizza and Clare another ready meal when we got in. We watched an old ITV Sherlock Holmes. Not as good as you remember.

Done some stuff on this blog that might speed up the loading and get more up to date content on the older pages, using that thing I posted the other day.
