Blog2019 ≫ New furniture: ASSEMBLE!

We agreed on some new furniture for the balcony! I saw a "tea for two" balcony set in Homebase, the boys liked it, so I sent Clare back for another look, and it's a unanimous decision. I went to buy it after work yesterday, got it home and it's a lot more self assembly than I had hoped! The boys helped until bedtime, then Clare and I did the rest. And it's looking good and it's out on the balcony.

The boys are very excited by it, except that it rained this morning which made sitting out there not so much fun. This new one should be weatherproof, our old one suffered from rust and from UV damage to the seats making them disintegrate. We had it for a few years though.

Best thing for the boys was throwing the old furniture off the balcony to get rid of it, save bringing it back through the house. This was such fun that they made me go and get it again, bring the bits back through the house, so they could throw it again. Rock, and indeed roll. Where are you going with that TV..?

Working from home today, busy, starting a new project. Don't have time for a long walk today but I do need to get into Hythe so I'm going to cycle there, then come back to pick the boys up from school.

Thing one's birthday to organise, we do have a few plans.
