Blog2019 ≫ Incredible sky on the way to the Inn Doors

Incredible sky when I was walking to the Inn Doors on Friday. It was blue skies behind me, but crazy black clouds right ahead.

Had a lovely Friday right after work, two pints and was about to come home when another friend turned up so stayed a bit longer.

Lots of rumours flying about about pubs being up for sale, supposedly the Clarendon and the Providence are, and I heard the Ship Inn has been up for grabs for quite a while but at a price that is too high. Also heard about several new places that seem to have opened this day too. Old Boy in Tontine Street. No real ale there, was described as a bit spit and sawdust by my friend who had popped in. Then there's another place called The Potting Shed, not to be confused with the one in Hythe. It is a speakeasy type place inside an antique shop in Rendezvous Street, sounds interesting. The the Troubador - which briefly opened as the Tontine Tavern - is open again as Home. Will have to check all these places out, maybe we can when Mum and Dad visit this weekend.
