Looking up who my councillors are and how much a new bin will cost me and I stumbled into the plans to extend the petrol station1 at the bottom of our road. They are planning to put another storey on, for office and storage, hmm. How long after that before someone applies for the whole petrol station to be replaced with luxury flats, to that height, and to that area? Or even higher? It's a good spot I'd say, but it would be another useful community resource gone.
The Raj Bari / Little Chef / various other names has been shut for ages, but there is some work underway there. Not sure what, but repairs to the window frames and something going on inside. Would have thought that would be converted first. Would be lovely to see that turned into something useful. Another micropub say!
