There is a World War II workshop at the school today, we sent one of ours in dressed as an evacuee. He's not that happy about it, does not really like dressing up for school. Mostly he does not like it that he's wearing school socks, he wants to wear brightly coloured socks as he has been a lot recently. He can get away with it a bit with school trousers, but now they're in shorts it's a bit more obvious he's breaking school uniform rules. This seems to have completely ruined his day, hence the sad face in the evacuee picture I just shared... The other one was happy enough going in today, though he seems to have had an exhausting weekend. He was not happy last night when I told him there was school today, he'd got it into his head there was another bank holiday this week. He had a bit of a meltdown, then immediately fell asleep. I hope they're all rested for a full week of school today.
I have a PTA meeting tonight to discuss the forthcoming boot fair that we have to organise.
I got delicious curry last night from Cheriton Balti, ate far too much but struggled with the app a bit. I used their new app, I like that approach, no have to speak to a person out loud about how much food I am ordering. I get 10% off for using the app, so good, but when I got there to collect it I realise I could have got 20% off by not using the app. It's a Sunday only, collect only, cash only deal, but that's all the things I was doing. I will plan this better next time. I do very rarely get a takeaway like this though, it's usually only on a Sunday after a long day of travelling, as a treat.
This is a nice beetle1, unrestored just lovingly looked after since the 1950s... Our beetle looks basically the same as that.
Getting close to the end of a big project at work, at the phase of trying to put it into production a tiny bit at a time with no hiccups.
