Blog2019 ≫ A day at the rare breeds centre

We planned a proper family day out for the Bank Holiday Monday at the Rare Breeds centre1 with Emma and Jeff. Jeff and I were still raw from being robbed at the Chambers quiz the night before but we put it behind us for the sake of the children. It's basically a massive farm, I would not say it is my ideal sort of place, but there are loads of parks and climbing stuff for the children. Our two were in their element, and Emma and Jeff's eldest is always happy to run around with ours and ours like having someone smaller to help. We got a ride on a tractor trailer, and watched pig racing, but the best was the "mysterious marsh", a nice wooden Ninja Warrior type thing. We took a packed lunch and made pretty much a full day of it. Nice to get some sun (it was very hot) and so much wandering around in the fresh air.

I think that's my very long weekend all written up. Back at work today, at least it is a shorter week. Looking forward to the weekend though, where I hope still to get to the Inn Doors but also we have a gig to go to. Not sure if I can fit the park run in too.
