Blog2019 ≫ Project: new shed roof

Decided to fix the roof on the shed. The felt had come away and so the wood underneath is rotten. I've bought plywood this time, and a new better quality felt. Hoping to salvage enough of the original materials for the rest of it.

Also today bought a new Dyson, the top of the range V11 Absolute, pretty pleased with it. Oh yes, much more exciting than spending that money on a new bike or stereo or something...

Making a vindaloo in a minute, with the spice kit I got from Flaming Licks. I think it is from the same place in York where we got the original curry kit, so it should be good.

Clare is out tonight at Custom, at the Harbour Arm, a meal with her brother and friends. It's my turn to go out again tomorrow night, though we also have a meal out together at the Gatekeeper in Etchinghill.

We had a nice day yesterday out in the town and the Harbour Arm. All ate at Planet Earth Kitchen, and it was good! The boys ate well despite it being vegan. Clare and I both had wraps and they were good too. Didn't quite seem to be busy enough to call it "doing well" but you never know. After we went to the Harbour Arm to try and get a drink but it was way too busy. Huge queues at all the bars, so we went back to Docker and got a couple of bottles to take away. Nice to see it so busy I suppose but a bit annoying if you actually want to get something. It was the opening day, and it will settle down.

I walked back from there and popped in the Inn Doors for a couple, lovely.
