Had to collect thing two from school yesterday as he'd been sick. Quite a few people off apparently so must be something going around. Because he was actually sick they want him off for forty eight hours, so I've taken a day off with him today. Didn't realise I don't have to take this as actual holiday, I get parental leave for things like this. He will be off tomorrow too but then Clare will stay with him.
Thing two jealous of the days spent in front of the TV and it's hard to tell him that he really wouldn't want to be sick like this. He has a big spelling test today and a book quiz. Actually I just got emailed the results of the book quiz, he has been reading Magyk by Angie Sage1 and he got 70%. It's a pretty big book. Next stop The Maze Runner1.
If the boy is better this afternoon I will mow the lawn this afternoon.
I got my new chilli box yesterday, with three great looking sampler chilli pastes, a regular table sauce, a big jar of not-all-that-hot chilli paste, and a vindaloo spice pack. Going to do some cooking at the weekend with that! Still waiting on my Nespresso delivery though, which is with the courier still.
