Blog2019 ≫ Beetle is ready

Just under a grand all in because of the surprise extra welding. Let this be the end of it for at least six months! Then it will decay again over the autumn and winter and I'll see you back here this time next year.

Working from home today, I could get a taxi over to the garage to collect the beetle at lunch. However I am thinking of taking the afternoon off tomorrow, and get Clare to take me over there as she is off.

Different sort of weekend, Clare is duty officer so has to work all weekend. This means she is in charge of all the weird stuff that happens, despite being a financial officer. Last weekend the duty officer had to deal with a dead pony and closure of the site. Previous ones have seen dogs go over the cliffs and people go missing... Plan for the weekend is I miss the park run this week, we all get up early and take Clare to Jim's and she borrows his car for the weekend. Then the boys and I can go off somewhere, maybe we'll go to Flip Out or the new climbing wall in Dover or something.

I've done a STACK of work on this site last night, I figured out how to bring the threading back. This means old posts that had replies will have their replies listed, though I'm still not offering the option for you to reply to new posts. Sorry it's going to cost me money and be too much hassle to maintain.

Mouse trap was triggered again, but with no mouse in it.

I've packed up the Ayegear hoodie to send back, can do that tomorrow too. Hmm if I take that time off then also I could get to the Inn Doors a bit earlier...
