Blog2019 ≫ Quiet day today

Clare is at pump, then we have lunch and the shopping delivery. Boys have done their homework and we have no plans for the afternoon. I want to get them out on their bikes - that was one success from yesterday, I did get them new bike helmets - but they are not keen because it is a bit windy.

I made my sort-of-paella for tea again yesterday, with a side of roasted cauliflower, pretty nice!

UPDATE: I did drag them out in the end and we had a great time scooting to Sandgate and back in the high winds. Impressive waves breaking right up to the far reaches of the beach. We went in Orchard Lane, I had an apple and raspberry and custard muffin, and the boys had a vegan snickers and a berry cheesecake, it was a roaring success. They even scooted home into the wind without too many complaints. Then we watched Sherlock Gnomes and some of Sing.

After they'd gone to bed we watched Race Across The World which we loved. Like a good version of Coach Trip.
