Blog2018 ≫ Hammock fail

Started the bank holiday weekend with an afternoon off with the boys. We went for a scoot and then a play on the beach, with some Lego for some strange reason. Traffic was queued up and failing to get into Sandgate so we started going that way to try and figure out the cause of it, but the boys got fed up so we turned back. I found out later it was Kurt's funeral, and 500 bikes had joined the funeral procession. I bribed the boys with an offer of a J2O to come to the Fountain with me. Wasn't quite nice enough to sit outside but we did anyway. Bit windy but no rain at this point. We had one drink, and then home for tea.

Saturday we went to a party at a friend's house, was lovely apart from the bit where the boys got in a hammock, and did not sit still as advised. It tipped over and thing two landed square on his forehead, he has a whopping bruise there now.

I've been trying to have a bit of a purge of old technology, I have a huge IKEA bag of old cables and non working gear. I have revived an old camera though, so will be carrying that with me this week as a back up. I wanted another option to take to New York with me, will see if this keeps going or if I need to get something else.
