I'm sure it's going to be FINE... the garage took the engine out to get one of the spark plugs out. We knew a spark plug was mashed into the engine (wherever it is that it goes) so now that is out and replaced. But in taking that out it uncovered more badness underneath, one of the cylinders has been spraying out oil because a bolt is missing and the cylinder head was loose. Something like that.
Good money after bad. I'm going to get a graphic made up to go in the back window of the beetle to that effect.
