I found this blog1 and from there reminded of a song that appears on this compilation2 by Fatima Mansions. I saw them once about a squillion years ago. I think the title is a reference to something that Thatcher possibly said
a man who, beyond the age of 26, finds himself on a bus, can count himself a failure
though having investigated this a little online it seems there is no definitive source for this. Anyway today I got the bus to work and am planning to do a bit more of this.
Wow "about a squillion" is actually fast approaching thirty years ago.
