Blog2017 ≫ Early morning gymnastics

Another early morning to sign the boys up for gymnastics. Thought I was going to get away with it this time as the elder one said he didn't want to go any more, and it is only his class that is so oversubscribed. But he changed his mind again, so up at 5am to queue outside the sports centre. I was third in the queue, with more people joining quickly. No chance to go for a walk around the block as I have done previously.

Last time we did this the doors opened early and we queued inside, but maybe someone got in trouble for this, the doors did not open until 6.30. Then signing up opened straight away; in theory registration doesn't start until 7 or 7:30. I was all done and on my way back by 6:45.

One poor guy came up to the counter while I was signing up to say "hello I'm here to sign my daughter up for gymastics", I did not see the look on his face when he realised that's what the queue was for and he should have been there an hour earlier, hope it worked out for him.

Working from home today, partly because it's cold, partly because I'm working remotely with someone else who is not in the office today anyway.
