Blog2017 ≫ Possibly giving up on my new handbag plans

Have been looking for a new small rucksack thing, not to replace my work bag (the thirteen year old Dakine is still going strong) but an extra one for days out, so I don't have to unload my work stuff just for a trip to town, or a ride on the bike. I have not found one I am happy with I don't think. This Pacsafe Intasafe1 looks quite good, but a) it's over 100 quid and b) it weighs more than a kilogram when it is empty. The only lighter ones I can find just don't seem good enough. I need a balance of "that's a cool feature" with a reliable brand name, and not too heavy. That one is heavy as it has some metal reinforcing, to make it fairly rob-proof. This one is also ok1, also from Pacsafe, but still heavy. I think the original one I was watching1 is good, but probably too small - when I was out at the weekend with a small backpack, it was nice and light, but when I tried to stash the bike helmet in it it basically filled it up. So I need somewhere inbetween. Don't think I'm going to find it, so sticking with my work bag, and just going to try and keep it not too swamped with things so I'm ready to use it at the weekend too...
