Blog2017 ≫ Phone disaster action

Man alive we're reliant on mobile phones today aren't we? Clare was working, the boys and I went into Sandgate towards the end of the day with the plan that we would meet up there for dinner. I was just taking a picture of them on the beach when the phone completely died. Possibly just battery issues (it's been more or less dead since dropping it in the pool in Corfu) but somehow I did not have the right lead to charge it up again from my battery back up. We tried the payphone at the ship but it did not work, it looked and spelled properly manky, so we walked up the hill towards Folkestone looking for another phone. And walked. And walked... Quite a long way really. We found a payphone and it cut out while I was calling Clare so not sure how much of the message got through. Luckily she passed us as we were walking back to Sandgate again... after all this we decided to have dinner at home. Better luck tomorrow, we will go back that way for the Sandgate Sea Festival.
