Blog2017 ≫ We went to the Isle of Wight

⬆️We are making the most of this week off

Not entirely spontaneous this one, but we were planning to visit Mum and Dad, and Mum suggested we go to the Isle of Wight while we were there. We didn't book in advance, just drove and parked on Southsea Common and queued for the hovercraft, getting on the first one that came in. Nice and easy! We only walked up and down Ryde, went in some shops, bought some books in a charity shop and went in a cafe. We were thinking of eating lunch over there but decided just to cafe it and snack in the day and then eat properly when we got back to Southsea. The kite festival was on there so we walked aorund that and let the boys go on the bouncy castle and things. Really nice sunny day, a trip on the hovercraft made a real interesting change. It's so fast and convenient I'd be up for doing that again just to go in a few different pubs.

Instead of eating we held off, Mum and Dad took the boys back to eat and we carried on in Southsea and GunWharf for a bit. A night out as it was our anniversary.
