Blog2017 ≫ Awesome Brighton weekender part two

In follow up to Awesome Brighton weekender part one which already has enough linked parts to it so here's part two. We stayed in the Premier Inn of course but did not have the breakfast, thinking there's too much choice out there. We went to VBites for breakfast, it's all vegan. Bit chaotic really though it was not busy, just disorganised. They told Clare they were out of things, and then they weren't. Mine was good, a full english accompanied by some excellent hot sauce that I should have bought a bottle of. Clare had granola and when it finally came with the right accompaniments it was fantastic. A good breakfast, though not cheap, more expensive than it would have been in the hotel, and less food, though a little more variety for me. And that hot sauce...

We were up and about before most of Brighton, reminds me of an old Karl Pilkington anecdote about people still ironing their jeans when it's time for him to go home to bed. The streets of Brighton seem a bit grimier first thing in the morning, before the excesses of the night before have been hosed away. Still was starting out as another nice sunny day.

Wondered for a minute if that sauce was this1, but no I remember it's this guy2. 7 plus postage there, was about seven quid in the Brighton chili shop, was "only" five-fifty in VBites cafe. Buy it when you see it, I've missed it now...
