Blog2017 ≫ Excellent lunch was at Dr Legumes pop-up

Dr Legumes have taken over the Smokehouse in Folkestone Harbour for three weeks, and Clare booked us in. Very god, very popular, they were turning people away. We had some chili poppers as a starter, chilis stuffed with cashew paste and deep fried, then we sort of shared the mains, one pie and one burger. Doesn't sound sophisticated when I put it like that but was really good. Hemp burger with fries made from strange but local and organic veg, including purple sweet potatoes. The pie was soya and ale, very good, with veg and mash. Also had jerusalem artichokes on the side. Would love to go back there and eat more but we don't have time, they're only there for one more week and we can't fit it in. Hope they're back on the Harbour Arm soon and also in Backspace when the weather picks up again.
