Blog2016 ≫ Great day in Tenterden

I took one extra day off over christmas, above and beyond the statutory bank holidays and the extra day that work always give us right before christmas. So we went to Tenterden today. Nice day, not that warm, and scheduled to rain in Tenterden, of course, it always rains in Tenterden. Pleasant drive though and confusingly not looking like rain at any point. So this was the day! The one day ever it did not rain in Tenterden when we were going. We went to the leisure centre for swimming fun, we all enjoyed but thing two in particular had SO MUCH fun. We could have stayed there for hours, but headed out again so there'd be time for the park. There was a football match going on that thing one was very interested in, might have to take him to a proper game. Some playing in the park where thing one made some friends, playing football again, then on to lunch. Great food in Prezzo, including their new vegan sharing starter. Clare covered the bill too, so it was just about perfect. Actually thing one got it, using Clare's card and pin, as she ran off before puddings in order to go to White Stuff and Fat Face. It nearly worked as a suprise that thing one was going to pay the bill while Clare was not there, but not quite... Thing one had two puds, thing two didn't want his. Just about made it back to the car at the end of our parking period. Would we have got a parking ticket on a holiday day like this? I hope not. Such a lovely day.

Boys watched and enjoyed Kung Fu Panda before bed. They've not even opened all their christmas presents still.
