Good christmas day, the boys have been so pleased with everything they got, and Clare and I have got everything we might have wanted too. The boys have not even opened everything they got yet, including their main present from us. Maybe we'll save it for next year now.
I got a tonne of stuff, great gloves and an LED torch and clothes from Mum and Dad, and a weekend away from Clare. I think it's a weekend away for both of us, not just that she's sending me away for the weekend. It's two nights in Brighton anyway and comedy tickets.
Christmas lunch was really good. Clare and Dom cooked most of the things in advance and it worked really well. I did contribute a little, some peeling and chopping, but they did most of the work. We were fourteen for dinner, ten round Jim's big table and then four little ones at the kitchen table. Everyone had a great time. I have eaten too much, had more for tea than I needed really, which we sat and ate in front of the telly.
for us, less so for George Michaels. Wow how many more goes has 2016 got? Still some very big prizes out there I'd say. My preferred theory is that the Queen actually already died but they're waiting for a time to announce it where she won't be overshadowed by a celebrity. She might have died last January.
