This is a hellish system:

• Get asked a question
• look up the answer
• submit the answer
• oops we've timed out you must log in again
• we've sent a two factor authentication text
• type it in
• look up the answer again
• submit the answer again
• "This site cant be reached online.hmrc.gov.uk took too long to respond"
• refresh, start again

I'm on page four and it's still 1% complete.

One particularly fun and interesting fact is that my "savings" account earned 7p in interest in the tax year. Total interest across all my accounts was less than ten pounds, and that's not accounting for overdraft fees being taken out again (don't think I can claim for them). This is a long slow process with not a lot in it for anyone, except that one off payment of dividends from work. Why couldn't they take those PAYE and save me all this crap?
