Very proud of number one son and his enthusiasm for their recent Roman project at school. When they started on the first day they all did their fancy dress, and had a Roman feast in school, and a quiz, find out who knows what about Roman life. Our boy came first in this, mainly because of the Horrible Histories books that he reads and re-reads. Then Tuesday they did a visit to the Roman Painted House1 in Dover and did another quiz at the end of the day of all the things they'd learned and seen, and he came first again. This time he won a speedboat. No, wait, not a speedboat, a pencil. Also he's moved up the reading rocket every day this term so far (though mainly that is our achievement at home, he gets that for reading aloud to us and us signing his book). I'm very proud.
