Blog2016 ≫ A weekend of trains and booze

Not trains in a fun way. Meeting up with some friends in Portsmouth for an afternoon and evening of pub fun. This is going to be my christmas with my friends so looking forward to it. Letting the train take the strain, though to be honest that is adding quite a hassle. Trying to go from here to Waterloo East to Waterloo to Portsmouth, but the train gets in to East at 44 minutes past, then the one-train-an-hour leaves Waterloo at 45 minutes past. Just can't do it. So I have to go to St Pancras and get a tube across town, what a shame. Still only saves me about half an hour I think. When I looked in advance the high speed was the same price as any other way, but if it's not today then I guess I'll do the waterloo route and just go out for a walk there. Means I won't get to Portsmouth until too late to meet Dave and might be having my Pie and Vinyl on my own.

Shame it's going to be a flying visit, don't even get lunch with Mum and Dad because of the trains.
