Blog2016 ≫ Yes really dinner at TGI Friday

⬆️We are back from London we had a great weekend

It was always going to be another chain, we thought this would be a big noisy treat for the boys. In the event it was OK, better for Number one son who loved his food and his big dessert (consisting of candy floss, donuts, ice cream, popcorn, and other things). Our food was alright too. Not my ideal style of restaurant, but they have a special needs menu so I fared OK. number two son fell asleep during his, too much excitement.

When it was time to leave we thought a taxi might be better with a sleeping boy so Clare tried Uber for the first time. They came surprisingly quickly so we had to run, no doubt leaving some things in the restaurant including a comic and my unfinished beer! The quote was reasonable to get us from basically Leicester Square back to the hotel but was it a fixed price? The traffic was dreadful, Clare has yet to check what we were finally charged. Also had no change so tipped the driver A FIVER! At least this way he'll rate us highly as customers. Is that important? We gave him five stars as a driver anyway. A strange system but it got us where we needed to go.

We put thing two to bed, Clare and thing one walked down to the shop to make sure he was asleep before trying to put thing one to bed, and I sat in the bathroom reading my raspberry pi magazine. It's become a ritual when we go away to hotels...

After they came back I went out to the Old Fountain again. It was even busier, a live band were going to play. They had no chocolate stout nor any draught beers that I fancied but they had a nice range of Beavertown Brewery beers so I had a Smog Rocket. Just the one, was too busy to get served again so I headed back for a not-too-late night. Clare had been watching TV on the iplayer Conviction: Murder at the Station. Disappointing ending apparently.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
