Blog2016 ≫ Saturday evening OUT to the CINEMA

⬆️The weekend, what I can still remember of it

I never go to the cinema, I generally don't like the cinema experience. Dave suggested The Man Who Fell To Earth at a new-ish arts cinema in Portsmouth Dockyard, so let's go! This is much better, small screen, no annoying people, a nice bar, you can take your drinks in. Good film, no adverts or trailers, instead we got a talk from a film lecturer at Portsmouth Uni. This was brilliant.

Strange old film, I'd not seen it before, David Bowie of course. I have lots of questions about it but I suspect the answers are just not out there. It's more a piece of visual art than a story that makes sense I think.

After we were going to go for a drink in Southsea, but as Andy didn't make it and it would be just me on the beer, I suggested we head back to Fareham. So went for a couple in The Fareham (aka The Cheese and Ale) so Dave could drop off his car and join in too. A great night, bit different to the normal sessions when I go down that way.

Walked back from Fareham, GREAT, but the fitbit battery had gone so that's about 5000 steps I am denied.

💬 We walked past the Gordon Arms, it is definitely closed
