Clare was in when the DPD courier came back with the second parcel of vw beetle bits and the delivery went smoothly. She asked him what happened with the previous parcel and he said "I left it in your safe place - the garden of number 9". WHAT? This was not what we agreed. He checked where he left it, and it's gone, and there's no answer at number 9. He did not explain why he left it next door, but he thought everything was ok now we had a second parcel. I'm happy with this to be honest but VW Heritage who sent out the parts must be annoyed. Number 9 has not mentioned having a parcel for us, I suppose it might have been stolen or something from there. We have not seen her, and we don't really speak much anyway.
At least now I have a new handbrake cable and door card grommets so sooner or later I can get it fixed and stop having to park on the flat in gear. Not this week though.
