Blog2016 ≫ Very windy at Sandgate Festival

A little light rain this morning, was not looking good for the bank holiday Sunday with just me and the boys and no car. Clare was working today, and while I did have the beetle, it has no seatbelts in the back so I can't take the boys out in it. So when Clare's working, we stay local.

Sandgate Festival was on today, maybe it's sandgate sea festival, and while it was dry for them this afternoon it was really really windy. Made it a bit of a struggle to walk about it, and there's never that much there really, but we had a good time. The boys enjoyed a fairground ride and I might have joined Number one son up to beavers (junior version of cubs which is a junior version of scouts). They have vacancies at the Sandgate branch, and it's on a day when we have no other clubs, so we'll see.

The boys did well to walk to and from Sandgate, so pleased with that. There were no stalls selling real cider though, so it could have been better.

Looking forward to the grand finale of Robot Wars tonight.
