Blog2016 ≫ Hythe Cleaners coming today

I booked through cleanershythe.com1 though they clearly have no connection with Hythe, just good seo skills. They seem to have subcontracted it out, first they suggested 3 cleaners for 5 hours, then changed it by text to 2 cleaners for 7.5 hours (so same amount of actual cleaning) then sent me a confirmation yesterday back to 3 cleaners for 5 hours. This is now not convenient as we'd arranged to be out at a certain time, so we have to leave them to lock up.

Now also they're caught up in the same traffic that stopped me getting to the proper office today:

There are major problems on the M20 northbound carriageway this morning.

Emergency services have been called to two separate crashes between junctions 11 and 10 - one involving two cars and a lorry, and another involving two lorries. Diversions are in place via the A20.

I couldn't get to my proper office at The Barn, so stopped a the old office at The Wave, Newingreen, and was only a bit late. Roads are gridlocked all around, with people being diverted off the M20 onto the A20.

So, called the hythe cleaners, who called the real cleaners, who told me they were caught up in that traffic, so Clare is waiting in for them. And trying not to untidy the house much. The house is currently tidier than it's ever been before hythe cleaners even arrive arrive, because we have been saying "I'll just put this away so they have more room to clean". If we cancelled them today I'd think it had all been worth while. I hope they get here and it all works out nicely, but the roads really are bad.

A bonus of Clare being at home today though is that she might be there to receive Harry's basketball hoop that we ordered, he's basketball crazy at the moment. He thinks he's going to be doing slamdunks all day long, going to have to put it quite low down I think...
