Blog2016 ≫ Spent most of the afternoon in the National Maritime Museum

⬆️Splendid London weekender

Lots of fun for the kids and some interesting things to see. The giant map upstairs was not exactly as we thought, you can walk on it and it's "interactive" but you need an app for that. They hand out tablets and there's an augmented reality game you can play on it.

We saw a Turner painting of HMS Victory too.

Had a bit of trouble with the boat back, some hold up and a big queue meant we would not be able to get on the next boat, so had to queue for the following one, started getting a bit chilly now. It was a fast comfortable ride back to Tower Hill, it's a great way to travel. We had "roamer" tickets but no-one wanted to stay on and just ride the boat up and down for the rest of the day like I did. Jeff and Emma headed off for their dinner and we went our separate ways to our evening meal.
