Blog2016 ≫ A technological step backwards - or is it?

I just replaced one of my lightwaverf remote sockets (that are fully computer powered home automation devices remember) with the original style clunk manual switch that has no remoteness on it whatsoever... Just bought a new lampshade, and fancied a colour changing light bulb to go in it, maybe a nice way of changing the mood of the room. It's a low energy led, and these don't work with the lightwaverf dimmers - you can't have super low energy bulbs with them, nasty. So we're keeping the colour changing led and ditching the remote light switch for now. Might this be the start of my move away from lightwaverf?

We don't remotely control the lounge lights much, and they're not on any security type timings, so this one is ok. What should I look for as an alternative though?
